MightyMAXX
While responding to Hurricane Katrina, founder Tamala (Tami) witnessed how people had a need for connection to the outside world that wasn’t readily available. Without accessible networks, families could not communicate to relatives that they were safe or download insurance forms, maps to local shelters, and other recovery resources. Tami decided to create a product capable of deploying a wireless network with portable power and the ability to be installed in almost any terrain or environment. Enter MightyMAXX: a mobile rapid response telecommunications product.
MightyMAXX establishes a high-speed wireless network using cellular LTE or low earth orbit satellite as the backhaul. Using shore power or the onboard generator, MightyMAXX can be set up in rain, shine, or snow in less than one hour. Available options for expanding the base unit include Internet of Things devices, such as cameras or security products, and other types of power sources including solar.
As one solution in Flash Networks Group’s portfolio, MightyMAXX provides connectivity for disaster response, event management, and temporary network capacity offloading. Flash is expanding its current operations to include manufacturing MightyMAXX in Oklahoma. This opportunity will facilitate customizations to our mobile access solution, as well as contribute to economic growth in Norman. Flash’s MightyMAXX manufacturing operations are scheduled to be completely relocated to Norman by the end of 2025.
